Looking through history, Black representation within the beauty industry hasn’t always been relatable for everyone: Black women have experienced such dismissive treatment , instead of being celebrated with the richness of the melanin in skin with open arms there were unfortunate shrugs of not knowing what to do to bring out the beauty. So happy that actress and filmmaker Andrea Lewis has  brought light to the on the topic- with the purpose of change .

I personally loved the documentary i was so relatable to what i have experienced in the industry and have felt insecure about my skin because of what was projected as beauty. Which lucky with growth i grew to learn that beauty it in the ey of the holder . I love the skin i am in and so proud. The overall outcome is impact not only the people that have felt low self esteem about their skin for any reason and embrace the beauty they are. Staying true to yourself is what will not only   develop self love  but to also influence others you never know who's watching. Represent !
